Gaurpapdi

Whole wheat flour sauteed in plenty of ghee, mixed with grated jaggery and garnished with plenty of nuts. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Gaurpapdi

  • 2 cups Wholewheat Flour
  • 2 cups jaggery grated
  • 1 1/2 cups Ghee
  • 10 Cashewnuts chopped
  • 10 Almonds slivered
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a kadai and add atta. Roast on medium heat till it gives out a nice aroma. Add cardamom powder and remove from heat.
  2. Mix well. Add the grated jaggery and mix well till well blended. Transfer the mixture onto a greased tray. Garnish with chopped cashewnuts and almond slivers.
  3. Cut into pieces of desired size and shape while still warm. Remove when set.
