Gobhi Matar Pattice

Ingredients list for Gobhi Matar Pattice

  • 1 small Cauliflower grated
  • ½ cup Green peas boiled
  • 2 medium Potatoes boiled and peeled
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 1-2 Green chillies finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • ½ teaspoon Chaat masala
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Bread crumbs dried
  • 1 tablespoon Cornflour/ corn starch
  • for shallow frying Oil

Method

  1. Mash potatoes and put into a bowl. Add cauliflower, green peas, onion, green chillies, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, chaat masala and salt and mix well.
  2. Add breadcrumbs and mix well. Add cornflour and mix again.
  3. Dampen your palms, divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into pattice.
  4. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Place the pattice on it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till evenly done and golden on both sides.
  5. Serve hot.
