Ingredients list for Granola Bar

  • 2 cups Rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Almonds chopped
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • a pinch Salt
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup Dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 100˚C. Line a barfi tray with parchment paper.
  2. Spread rolled oats in a baking tray, add almonds and walnuts and mix well. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and roast for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Heat butter in a deep non-stick pan, add honey, a pinch of salt, brown sugar and vanilla essence, mix well and cook till the sugar melts and the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Transfer this mixture into a large bowl, add the roasted oats-nuts mixture, dried cranberries and chocolate chips and mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a butter paper lined barfi tray, spread it evenly, press down firmly until uniformly flattened. Keep it aside till the mixture sets and takes the shape of the tray. Cut into bars and serve.
