Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Hare Pyaaz ke Pakode Recipe

  • Spring onions with greens chopped 8-9

  • Gram flour (besan) 3/4 cup

  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 teaspoons

  • Red chilli powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Tomato ketchup as required

Method

Step 1

Put spring onions with greens, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add gram flour and mix again.

Step 2

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Drop small portions of the spring onion mixture with your fingers into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp.

Step 3

Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
