Ingredients list for Hersu Paayasam

  • 1 cup Whole green grams (sabut moong) soaked overnight
  • 1 cup Thick coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 3-4 Green cardamoms
  • 1 tablespoon Raisins
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut scraped

Method

  1. Drain the grams and boil in three cups of water with green cardamoms until soft.
  2. Add sugar and continue cooking till sugar dissolves.
  3. Add coconut milk and mix. Cook till it just begins to boil.
  4. Add raisins and serve hot garnished with scraped coconut.
