Ingredients list for Karachi Biscuits
- 1½ cups Margarine
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 cups + for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- ½ teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 25 grams Almonds chopped
- 25 grams Cashewnuts chopped
- grams Pistachios chopped
Method
- Take margarine in a bowl and whisk with an electric beater. Add vanilla essence and powdered sugar and whisk well.
- Add flour, cardamom powder, almonds, cashewnuts and pistachios and whisk well to make a dough. Wrap the dough in with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Dust the worktop with some flour. Transfer the dough and roll into a thick log.
- Trim off the ends and wrap the log with cling film. Freeze for 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Unwrap the dough log and cut into medium thick roundels, place them on a baking tray, place t the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
- Serve or store in an airtight container.
