Ingredients list for Kiwi Phirni
- 3 Kiwi fruit peeled and finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons Rice soaked and coarsely ground
- 1 litre Milk
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 6-8 Almonds slivered
- 8-10 Pistachios slivered
Method
- Boil milk in a deep non-stick pan for ten minutes, stirring continuously, so that no skin forms on the surface.
- Add rice and cook, stirring occasionally, till the rice is cooked.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder, mix well and cook till the sugar melts. Remove from heat, cool down to room temperature. Add kiwi and mix well.
- Pour into individual serving bowls, preferably kasoras (earthenware bowls). Sprinkle almond and pistachio slivers on top, chill and serve.
