By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Medium red pumpkin, Gram flour (besan) Cuisine Bengali Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Kumroni 1/2 Medium red pumpkin peeled 4 tablespoons Gram flour (besan) to deep fry Oil 2 tablespoons Rice flour 1/2 teaspoon Onion seeds to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder to serve Tomato ketchup Method Cut the pumpkin into 1½ inch rectangular pieces of medium thickness. Transfer into a bowl. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Take gram flour in a mixing bowl, add rice flour, nigella seeds, salt, turmeric powder and sufficient water and whisk to make a smooth batter of medium thick consistency. Dip the pumpkin pieces in the batter till well coated and slide into hot oil. Deep- fry, on medium heat, till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
