History of Indian cuisine dates back to nearly 5,000-years ago when various groups and cultures interacted with India that led to a diversity of flavours and regional cuisines.
Indian cuisine comprises of a number of regional cuisines.  The diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic group and occupations, these cuisines differ from each other mainly due to the use of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Lahsooni Tindli Recipe

  • Tindli quartered 500 grams

  • Garlic peeled 6-8 cloves

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Cumin seeds 1/4 tablespoon

  • Ginger paste 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic paste 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons

  • Coriander powder 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat the oil, add cumin seeds, ginger paste and garlic paste. Cook for a moment Add garlic cloves and cook again for a moment to slightly brown the garlic cloves.

Step 2

Add tindli and cook stirring continuously until tindli turns crisp.

Step 3

Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.

Step 4

Reduce the heat and cook till done. Take off the heat, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve immediately.
