A delightful preparation – ramekin moulds filled macaroni mixed with white sauce, topped with fried bacon and cheese and baked. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Mac and Cheese Bacon Mini Pots

  • 1 cup Macaroni boiled
  • ½ cup Processed cheese grated
  • 2-3 Bacon strips
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder

Method

  1. Preheat oven at 180°C.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan. Add bacon strips and cook till crisp and lightly browned from both sides. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Heat butter in another non-stick pan. Add flour and stir continuously till smooth. Add milk and mix well.
  4. Add salt and pepper powder, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add macaroni, mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and add half the cheese and mix well.
  6. Place 4 individual ramekin moulds on a baking tray. Divide the prepared macaroni mixture into each mould equally.
  7. Roughly chop bacon strips and add over the macaroni mixture. Top each mould with remaining cheese, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.
