Ingredients list for Moong Fingers
- 1/2 cup Split green gram skinless soaked
- 8 slices Bread Slices
- 1 small Onion finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-green chilli paste
- to taste Salt
- to deep fry Oil
Method
- Drain moong dal, add one cup of fresh water and boil till just done. Drain extra water, if any and mash the dal when still hot. Set aside to cool.
- Dry grind the bread slices and add to the dal along with onion, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, garam masala power, ginger-green chilli paste and salt. Mix well.
- Divide into equal portions and shape each portion into a finger. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the fingers till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with green chutney.
