Ingredients list for Moongphalli ka Halwa

  • 1/4 cup Peanuts (moongphalli)
  • 3/4 cup Peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Semolina (suji/rawa)
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery , grated
  • 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • a pinch Saffron strands
  • 1 cup Khoya (mawa)

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add semolina and sauté till fragrant.
  2. Meanwhile heat another non-stick pan, add some water, jaggery and green cardamom powder, mix and cook, stirring, till jaggery melts.
  3. Add peanuts and peanut butter to the semolina and mix well. Add jaggery water and cook till the mixture thicken, stirring continuously.
  4. Add saffron and mix. Add khoya and mix till it melts.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve warm.
