Ingredients list for Open Caprese Sandwich
- 4 Focaccia bread slices
- For topping Pesto sauce
- 2 medium Tomatoes sliced
- 150 grams Mozzarella cheese sliced
- as required Fresh basil leaves
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- to taste Salt
- to sprinkle Balsamic vinegar
Method
- Toast bread slices on a non-stick pan, turning sides till golden on both sides.Transfer onto the worktop.
- Spread some pesto on the toasted bread slices. Place some tomato slices and mozzarella slices alternatively. Put few basil leaves and sprinkle some crushed peppercorns and salt on top.
- Place these sandwiches on a serving platter, drizzle some balsamic reduction on top and serve immediately.
