By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Feb 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Spinach, Potatoes Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Palak Olu 2 bunch Spinach 2 medium Potatoes 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida 2 tablespoons Mustard oil 3-4 Black peppercorns 3 Cloves 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Dry ginger powder (soonth) to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Ver (Kashmiri garam masala) Method Advertisment Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into small cubes. Mix the red chilli powder with Clean, wash and blanch the spinach in boiling water. Drain and chop finely. Keep aside. one tablespoon of water and keep aside. Mix asafoetida powder with one tablespoon of water and keep aside. Heat oil in a wok, add the peppercorns, cloves and potatoes and fry for two minutes. Add the red chilli water, asafoetida water, turmeric powder, dry ginger powder, spinach and salt and cook uncovered till the potatoes are tender and the oil surfaces on top.
