Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Papad Chaat-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Urad dal papads 4-5

  • Onion finely chopped 2-3 to garnish

  • Tomato seeded and finely chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Cucumber seeded finely chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Chaat masala 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli garlic chutney 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tabelspo to sprinkle

  • Salt to taste

  • Sev to sprinkle


Step 1

Roast papads on a hot non-stick tawa on low heat pressing lightly with a muslin cloth. Set aside to cool.

Step 2

Mix together onions, tomatoes, cucumber, chaat masala, chilli garlic chutney, coriander leaves, crushed roasted papads and salt in a bowl.

Step 3

Sprinkle some coriander and sev and serve immediately.
