Ingredients for Pasta Cake Recipe

  • Penne pasta 1 packet

  • Oil 3 tablespoons

  • Onions cut into ¼ inch pieces 2 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Green capsicum cut into ¼ inch pieces 1

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Tomato basil sauce 1 bottle

  • White sauce 1 1/2 cups

  • Processed cheese grated 2 cups


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Boil penne, drain and refresh in cold water. Drain again and apply 1 tbsp oil. Grease a spring form cake tin.

Step 2

Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan, add onions and sauté for a minute. Add green capsicum, salt and black pepper powder and mix. Add tomato basil sauce and mix. Add penne pasta and mix well. Add ½ cup white sauce and mix well. Transfer into the spring form tin, press lightly and level the surface.

Step 3

Put the remaining white sauce on top. Sprinkle cheese and pat lightly. Keep the cake tin in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 150°C and bake for 30 minutes. Let it stand for a few minutes. Cut into wedges and serve.
