Ingredients list for Pasta Cake
- 1 packet Penne pasta
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- 2 medium Onions,cut into ¼ inch pieces
- to taste Salt
- 1 Green capsicum,cut into ¼ inch pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1 bottle Tomato basil sauce
- 1 1/2 cups White sauce
- 2 cups Processed cheese,grated
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Boil penne, drain and refresh in cold water. Drain again and apply 1 tbsp oil. Grease a spring form cake tin.
- Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan, add onions and sauté for a minute. Add green capsicum, salt and black pepper powder and mix. Add tomato basil sauce and mix.
- Add penne pasta and mix well. Add ½ cup white sauce and mix well. Transfer into the spring form tin, press lightly and level the surface.
- Put the remaining white sauce on top. Sprinkle cheese and pat lightly. Keep the cake tin in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 150°C and bake for 30 minutes.
- Let it stand for a few minutes. Cut into wedges and serve.
