Ingredients list for Pathare Prabhu Sambhar Masala
- 8 tablespoons Coriander Seeds
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Cumin Seeds
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Mustard seeds
- 2 tablespoons Whole wheat kernels
- 2 tablespoons Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
- 16-20 Whole dry red chilli
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
- 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
- a pinch Asafoetida
Method
- Dry roast all ingredients one at a time except asafoetida powder. Cool, add asafoetida powder and grind to a fine powder. Store in an airtight container.
