By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Pressed rice (poha), Milk Cuisine Indian Course Desserts Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Poha Kheer ½ cup Pressed rice (poha) 1½ cup Milk 1 tablespoon Ghee 6-7 Raisins 6-7 Cashewnuts ¼ cup Sugar ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom powder Method Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add raisins and cashew nuts and sauté till golden. Remove from the pan and set aside. Add pressed rice to the same pan and sauté for two to three minutes. Add milk and cook, stirring continuously, till the pressed rice is cooked and the mixture thickens. Add sugar, mix well and cook till sugar dissolves completely. Add cardamom powder, fried raisins and cashew nuts and mix well. Serve warm.
