Ingredients list for Red Onion Boiled Eggs

  • Red Onion Peels
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons Oil

Method

  1. Heat a deep pan. Keep a thick layer of onion peels at the base and sprinkle ½ tbsp sea salt over them.
  2. Keep eggs over and cover with them with another thick layer of onion peels. Sprinkle remaining sea salt over this layer.
  3. Drizzle oil and pour water sufficient to rise a little above the layers in the pan.
  4. When the water starts boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for 3-4 hours.
  5. Check in between to see if there is sufficient water in the pan. If the water level goes down, add more water so that the eggs do not burn.
  6. Remove the eggs from the pan and cool. Peel and cut into any shape you desire and use for garnishing.
