This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 11 Mar 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Basmati Rice, White Sesame Seeds Cuisine Fusion Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Rice With Sesame Fried Vegetables 2 cups Basmati Rice soaked 1 tablespoon White Sesame Seeds 2 sprigs Spring onion bulbs 7-8 small Red radish 1 medium Carrot cut into thin strips 1 small Cucumber peeled 2 tablespoons Oil 1 1/4 tablespoons Garlic crushed 1 1/4 tablespoons Soy sauce to taste Salt 1 1/4 tablespoons Tahini paste 2 tablespoons Lemon juice to sprinkl Toasted white sesame seeds 2 stalks Spring onion greens Method Advertisment Boil rice in plenty of salt water until soft. Keep stirring once a while while cooking.Heat oil in a non stick pan. Slice spring onion bulbs and add. Roughly chop radish and add. Sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add garlic and carrot. Cut cucumber into strips. Toss the vegetables in the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes.Add sesame seeds. Chop spring onion greens. Add soya sauce and cucumber. Toss to mix and add salt. Mix well. Add spring onion greens and sauté for 1 minute. Switch off heat and transfer some sautéed vegetables in a plate. Reserve this for garnishing. When rice is done, drain and add to the pan with remaining sautéed vegetables. Add tahini paste and lemon juice. Mix well. Transfer rice onto a serving dish. Add reserved sautéed vegetables on top and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top. Serve hot.
