By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Feb 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Cottage cheese, Spinach Cuisine Punjabi Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Saag Paneer 200 grams Cottage cheese 1 Large bunch Spinach blanched 2-3 Green chillies slit 1 Large bunch Sarson ka saag blanched 3 tablespoons Oil 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 8-10 cloves Garlic chopped to taste Salt 1 tablespoon Lemon juice 4 tablespoons Fresh cream Method Advertisment Grind spinach and mustard leaves into a fine paste along with green chillies. Cut paneer into one inch X one inch X half inch pieces. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds. When they begin to change colour, add chopped garlic and sauté for half a minute. Add the spinach puree and stir. Check seasoning. Add water if required. When the gravy comes to a boil, add the paneer and mix well. Stir in lemon juice. Finally add fresh cream. Serve hot with makki roti.
