Sesame Corn Toast Bread roundels topped with corn and potatoes, rolled in sesame seeds and deep fried By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Feb 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Sesame seeds, Corn kernels Cuisine Chinese Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 41-50 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Sesame Corn Toast 1/2 cup Sesame seeds 1 cup Corn kernels minced 1 medium Onion finely chopped 1 inch piece Ginger finely chopped 4-6 cloves Garlic finely chopped 2-3 Green chillies seeded and finely chopped 1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 1 medium Green capsicum finely chopped 1/2 tablespoon Soy sauce 1/4 cup Cornflour/ corn starch 1/2 teaspoon White pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon MSG to taste Salt 3 medium Potatoes, boiled and mashed 8 Bread slices to deep fry Oil Method Add onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, coriander leaves, capsicum, soy sauce, two tablespoons of cornflour, pepper powder, MSG and salt into the minced corn and potato mixture and mix thoroughly. Mix the remaining cornflour in half a cup of water. Cut bread slices with a cookie cutter to one-inch diameter pieces. Brush the bread pieces with the cornflour mixture and apply a thick layer of the corn mixture and smoothen with wet hands. Sprinkle sesame seeds generously on each toast and press lightly. Shake off the excess seeds and refrigerate for fifteen minutes. Heat sufficient oil in a wok and deep-fry the prepared toasts, stirring frequently, for two to three minutes or until crisp and golden brown in color. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with a sauce of your choice.
