By Sanjeev Kapoor 19 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Soya chyunks, Green peas Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Soya Matar Masala 1 cup Soya chyunks soaked in warm water 1/2 cup Green peas 3 Small onions peeled and quartered 2 Medium tomatoes quartered 1 tablespoon Oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Cumin powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Coriander powder 1/2 tablespoon Garam masala powder 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped to garnish Fresh coriander sprig Method Put onions in a blender jar, add tomatoes and blend into a fine puree. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let their colour change. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for 1 minute or till the raw smells disappear. Add the onion-tomato puree, mix well and saute on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and coriander powder, mix well and cover and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add soya chunks, green peas and garam masala powder, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add coriander leaves, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
