Spinach Fish Rolls

Ingredients list for Spinach Fish Rolls

  • 2 Basa Fish Fillets
  • 8 Spinach Leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard paste
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
  • 1 cup Crumbled cottage cheese (paneer)
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • For Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 3-4 Chives finely chopped + for garnishing
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice

  1. Preheat oven to 200º C.
  2. Cut fish fillets into thin slices and place in a bowl. Add salt, half teaspoon pepper powder, mustard paste, garlic paste, lemon juice and mix well. Set aside to marinate for ten to fifteen minutes.
  3. Put cottage cheese in another bowl, add remaining pepper powder, red chilli flakes and salt and mix well.
  4. Place a marinated fish slice on the worktop. Halve spinach leaves and place them on top of the fish. Top with a generous amount of cottage cheese mixture and roll tightly. Similarly make the remaining rolls.
  5. Place the rolls on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for eight to ten minutes.
  6. To prepare the sauce, heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add little water, chives and lemon juice and mix well. Remove from heat.
  7. Place the baked fish rolls on a serving plate and pour hot chive sauce over them. Serve immediately garnished with a chive.
