Ingredients for Spinach Fish Rolls Recipe

  • Basa Fish Fillets 2

  • Spinach Leaves 8

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon

  • Mustard paste 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic paste 2 teaspoons

  • Lemon juice 2 teaspoons

  • Crumbled cottage cheese (paneer) 1 cup

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • For Sauce

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Chives finely chopped + for garnishing 3-4

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon


Step 1

Preheat oven to 200º C.

Step 2

Cut fish fillets into thin slices and place in a bowl. Add salt, half teaspoon pepper powder, mustard paste, garlic paste, lemon juice and mix well. Set aside to marinate for ten to fifteen minutes.

Step 3

Put cottage cheese in another bowl, add remaining pepper powder, red chilli flakes and salt and mix well.

Step 4

Place a marinated fish slice on the worktop. Halve spinach leaves and place them on top of the fish. Top with a generous amount of cottage cheese mixture and roll tightly. Similarly make the remaining rolls.

Step 5

Place the rolls on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for eight to ten minutes.

Step 6

To prepare the sauce, heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add little water, chives and lemon juice and mix well. Remove from heat.

Step 7

Place the baked fish rolls on a serving plate and pour hot chive sauce over them. Serve immediately garnished with a chive.
