Fresh eggs will stay at the bottom while stale eggs stand on end or float.

Ingredients for Steamed Egg Katori-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Eggs 4

  • Onion finely chopped 4 teaspoons

  • Green capsicum finely chopped 4 teaspoons

  • Red chilli flakes 2 teaspoon

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Processed cheese grated 4 teaspoons


Step 1

Break an egg into each of 4 glass bowls.

Step 2

Add 1 teaspoon onion, 1 teaspoon green capsicum, ½ teaspoon chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, 1 teaspoon cheese and salt in each bowl.

Step 3

Heat sufficient water in the lower part of a steamer. Place the bowls in the perforated upper container, cover and steam for 7-8 minutes.

Step 4

Serve hot.
