Stir Fried Squids

Ingredients

  • 4 large squids, cleaned and cut into rings
  • 1½ tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • ½ teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1 small onion, cut into dice
  • 2-3 green chillies, slit
  • ¼ cup mixed coloured capsicum dice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon butter

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick wok, meanwhile, take squid rings in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle salt, turmeric powder and mix well. Set aside.
  3. Add garlic, ginger and sauté for a few seconds. Add onion and sauté till translucent. 
  4. Add the squid rings, green chillies and mixed capsicums. Toss on high heat.
  5. Add salt, lemon juice and toss again. Add butter and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes and take it off heat.
  6. Serve hot.
