Ingredients list for Sugarcane Panakam (Udipi)

  • 4 cups Sugarcane juice
  • 3 teaspoons Jaggery (gur) grated
  • 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoons Green cardamom powder
  • 2 teaspoons Dried ginger powder (soonth)

Method

  1. Heat sugarcane juice in a non-stick pan with three cups of water and jaggery. Bring this mixture to a boil and boil it for ten minutes.
  2. Add green cardamom powder and ginger powder mix well and remove from heat.
  3. Add lemon juice and mix. Let it cool down to room temperature and then refrigerate it.
  4. Serve chilled.
