Ingredients list for Tadka Chaas - SK Khazana

  • 1 litres Buttermilk (chaas)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh mint leaves chopped

Method

  1. Take buttermilk in a large bowl, add red chilli powder and salt and mix well.
  2. For tempering, heat ghee in a non-stick pan and add cumin seeds. When they change colour, add turmeric powder and sauté for ½ minute. Switch off heat and add it to buttermilk mixture and mix well.
  3. Add coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix well. Let it stand for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour the chaas into serving glasses and serve immediately.
