Ingredients list for Tamarind Glazed Honey Shrimp
- 1 tablespoon Sweet tamarind chutney
- 450 grams Prawns peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes optional
- 1/2 teaspoon Coriander seeds crushed
- 1/2 inch piece Ginger grated
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- a few Iceberg lettuce leaves
Method
- Place the prawns in a bowl.
- Add salt, lemon juice, crushed red chillies, crushed coriander seeds, ginger, sweet tamarind chutney and honey and mix well.
- Cover the bowl and keep it in the refrigerator till it is time to serve.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan. Shred lettuce and put them in stemmed glasses. Add the marinated prawns to the oil in the pan and cook, stirring, till the prawns are done.
- Drain and place the prawns over the lettuce and serve hot immediately.
