Ingredients list for Tamatar Wali Machchi - SK Khazana
- 5 Surmai darnes
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
- 2 Green chillies finely chopped
- 4 Medium onions finely chopped
- 2 1/2 cups Tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon Red chilli paste
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tablespoon Tamarind pulp
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- to serve Steamed rice
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick deep pan, add garlic, ginger and green chillies and sauté till fragrant.
- Add onions, mix well and saute till golden brown. Add tomato puree and red chilli paste, mix well. Cook till the oil separates. Add salt and mix well.
- Add chilli powder and turmeric powder, mix well. Add fish darnes and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve with rice.
