This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 11 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Aloe vera, Rice soaked Cuisine Indian Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Aloe Vera Rice Kheer 1 Aloe vera 3/4 cup Rice soaked a pinch Turmeric powder 2 tablespoons Ghee 10-12 Cashewnuts 5 cups Milk 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder a few Saffron (kesar) Method Cut the bottom portion of aloe vera and keep aside until the sticky juice is drained off. Remove the skin and cut into 1 inch cubes. Heat water in a deep non stick pan, add turmeric powder and aloe vera pieces. Boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Strain the aloe vera. Repeat this process 4 to 5 times Heat ghee in another non stick pan, add cashewnuts and sauté till golden. Add aloe vera pieces and sauté for 2 minutes. Drain and add rice and sauté. Add milk and cook, stirring continuously for 20 to 25 minutes. Add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron and stir till the sugar dissolves. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot or cold as desired.
