Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Atta Badam Laddoo - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cups

  • Almonds 1/2 cup

  • Ghee 4 teaspoons

  • Green cardamom powder 1 teaspoon

  • Powdered sugar 1 cup

  • Melted ghee 1/2 cup

  • Almond slivers to garnish

Method

Step 1

Heat 1 tsp ghee in a non-stick pan, add almonds and saute till lightly browned. Transfer into a plate and set aside to cool.

Step 2

Heat remaining ghee in the same non-stick pan, add flour and saute for 7-8 minutes or till lightly browned. Transfer into a bowl and set aside.

Step 3

Put the almonds into a blender jar and blend it to a fine powder.

Step 4

Add this to the flour along with green cardamom powder, powdered sugar and melted ghee and mix well.

Step 5

Shape the mixture into equal medium sized laddoos and garnish with almond slivers. Serve.
