By Sanjeev Kapoor 25 Jun 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Refined flour (maida), Almond paste Cuisine Uttar Pradesh,Punjabi Course Mithais Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Badami Puri 1 cup + for dusting Refined flour (maida) 2-3 tablespoons Almond paste 1/2 cup Rice flour 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 1 tablespo Ghee as required Milk as required Cloves for deep-frying Oil 1 cup Sugar a pinch Saffron for garnish Mixed nuts chopped Method Knead together refined flour, rice flour, almond paste, ΒΌ tsp cardamom powder and ghee with milk as required to a stiff dough. Divide the dough into equal portions, dust with some refined flour and roll out into small discs. Brush with some ghee, fold into triangles, roll out and prick all over with a fork. Secure with a clove. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry prepared puris till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Heat sugar in a non-stick pan. Add sufficient water, saffron and remaining cardamom powder, mix well and cook till a thick syrup is formed.
