By Sanjeev Kapoor 28 Aug 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients White bread slices, Potatoes Cuisine indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Bread Pakoda-SK Khazana 8 White bread slices 1 cup Potatoes boiled, peeled and grated 1 1/2 cups Gram flour (besan) 1 1/2 tabl to deep fry Oil 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds 6-8 Curry leaves 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing) 1 tablespoon Green chilli paste 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder Method Heat 1½ tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and sauté till the seeds splutter. Add curry leaves, asafoetida and green chilli paste, mix well and sauté for a minute. Add ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder and mix. Add potatoes and mix well. Add salt, mix and cook for a minute. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Take gram flour, remaining turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt in a bowl, add sufficient water and whisk well to make a batter of coating consistency. Spread a generous portion of potato mixture on 4 bread slices and cover with remaining bread slices. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Cut sandwiches into triangles, dip in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
