Ingredients list for Broccoli Salad

  • 1/4 large Broccoli
  • to taste Sesame Seeds
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red chillies
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds (til) toasted

Method

  1. Separate broccoli florets keeping the stems intact.
    Cut them vertically into halves.
  2. Heat 2-3 cups water in a deep non-stick pan.
    Add broccoli florets and salt and blanch.
  3. To make the dressing, crush garlic cloves through a garlic press into a bowl.
    Add olive oil, vinegar, salt and crushed red chillies and mix well.
  4. Remove the broccoli florets from the hot water and refresh in ice cold water.
    Set aside for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Pat them dry on a kitchen towel.
    Add honey to the dressing and mix.
    Add the broccoli florets and toss to mix.
  6. Transfer into a serving bowl, sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve immediately.
