Ingredients list for Chicken Crispy

  • 1 cup Boneless chicken strips
  • 1 tbsp+ to deep fry Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black peppercorns , crushed
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons Cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic , chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Celery , chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Spring onion bulbs , sliced
  • 1 cup Mixed capsicums (red, green, yellow) strips
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps + to garnish Spring onion greens , diagonally sliced

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  2. Take chicken strips in a bowl, add salt, crushed peppercorns, egg yolk and cornflour and mix well.
  3. Gently slide in the chicken strips into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic, celery, spring onion bulbs, mixed capsicum strips, red chilli sauce and soy sauce, mix well and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and fried chicken strips, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add spring onion greens and mix well.
  6. Transfer into a serving plate, garnish with sliced spring onion greens and serve hot.
