Ingredients list for Chilli Chicken Burger - SK Khazana

  • 1-2 Green chillies chopped
  • 1 Medium green capsicum cut into square pieces
  • 400 grams Boneless chicken cut into cubes
  • 4 Burger buns halved and toasted
  • 4 tablespoons Cornflour
  • 1 Egg
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • 1 tablespo to deep fry Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
  • 2-3 Spring onion bulbs chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli sauce
  • 1 Medium onion quartered and layers separated
  • 1 cup Chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons Cornflour slurry
  • 1 tablespoon Spring onion greens chopped

Method

  1. Take chicken cubes in a bowl, add cornflour, egg, salt and crushed black peppercorns and mix well.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan, slide in the chicken cubes and deep fry till golden and cooked. Drain on absorbent paper.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick wok, add garlic, green chillies and spring onion bulb and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add soy sauce and red chilli sauce and mix well. Add capsicum, onion, crushed black peppercorns and salt and mix well. Add chicken stock, mix and let the mixture come to a boil.
  5. Add cornflour slurry, mix well and cook till the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add fried chicken cubes and mix well. Add spring onion greens and mix well. Turn off the heat.
  7. Place the bottom halves of the burger buns on individual serving plates. Place a ring mould over it and fill it with chilli chicken mixture. Gently remove the ring mould and place the top halves over the chicken mixture.
  8. Serve the burgers immediately.
