Ingredients list for Chocolate Sevaiyaan

  • 100 grams Vermicelli roasted
  • 3 tablespoons Chocolate Powder malted
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate grated
  • 3 tablespoons Ghee
  • 5 cups Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • a few strands Saffron (kesar)
  • 2 tablespoons Raisins
  • 3 tablespoons Chironji
  • 4 tablespoons Sugar

Method

  1. Heat 2 tbsps ghee in a non-stick pan. Lightly crush the vermicelli and add to the pan and saute for 2-3 minutes or till they turn light golden.
  2. Add milk and bring it to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add green cardamom powder, saffron, chocolate powder and grated chocolate to the milk.
  3. Heat the remaining ghee in another non-stick pan.
  4. Add raisins and chironji and sauté lightly. Add this mixture to the kheer. Add sugar and mix well. Cook till the sugar dissolves. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
