This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Dec 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Refined Flour, Candied Peel Cuisine British Course Desserts Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 1.30-2 hour Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Christmas Pudding 3/4 cup Refined Flour Candied Peel a pinch Salt 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder 1/4 teaspoon Mace powder 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder 3/4 cup Bread crumbs 4 tablespoons Butter 1/4 cup Candied peel finely chopped 1/4 cup Cherries 1/2 cup Raisins 1/2 cup Sultanas 2 tablespoons Brandy 2 tablespoons Whisky 2 tablespoons Rum white 3 tablespoons Coffee liqueur 1/2 cup Brown sugar 3 Eggs 1/2 cup Carrot grated 1/4 cup Almonds blanched, peeled and chopped 1/2 teaspoon Lemon rind 1/2 cup Orange juice Method Preheat oven to180ºC. Sieve flour with salt, cinnamon powder, mace powder, nutmeg powder into a bowl.Add breadcrumbs and mix. Add butter and mix.Add candied peel, cherries, raisins, sultanas and mix. Add brandy, whisky, rum, kahlua, brown sugar and eggs and mix well. Add carrot and almonds and mix. Add lemon rind, orange juice and mix well.Grease a mould and pour the batter into it taking care not to fill it up to the top.Cover the bowl with aluminium foil and keep it in a baking tray. Half fill the tray with water and cook in the preheated oven at 180ºC for 45 minutes. Reduce temperature to 150ºC and cook for 3 hours. Ensure that there is water in the tray throughout the cooking. Before serving heat it again and serve.
