Dolma

Ingredients list for Dolma

  • 8 Cabbage cups, stems removed and blanched
  • as required Cabbage leaves
  • 250 grams Chicken mince
  • ½ cup Rice soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh mint leaves chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 medium Tomato finely chopped
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • as required Lemon slices
  • for garnishing Sriracha sauce

Method

  1. Heat some water in a deep non-stick pan. Place a bamboo steamer in it, cover and bring water to boil.
  2. Combine chicken mince, rice, mint leaves, parsley, cumin powder, tomato, onion and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Take each cabbage cup, put some chicken mixture in the center and wrap it.
  4. Line the steamer with cabbage leaves, place the wraps over them. Place a lemon slice on top of each wrap, cover and steam for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Arrange the wrap on a serving plate, drizzle some sriracha sauce on top and serve immediately.
