Ingredients for Dosa Waffles Recipe

  • Dosa batter as required

  • Oil 1 tablespo

  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1/2 teaspoon

  • Medium onion finely chopped 1

  • Medium tomato finely chopped 1

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Green coconut chutney to serve


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add curry leaves, green chillies and onions, mix and sauté till onion turns translucent.

Step 2

Add tomatoes and salt, mix well and saute till tomato turns soft and pulpy. Add chilli powder and turmeric powder, mix well and saute for a minute. Set aside to cool.

Step 3

Take dosa batter in a large bowl, add the cooked mixture, coriander leaves and salt and mix well.

Step 4

Heat a waffle iron and grease it lightly with a little oil. Pour the batter, cover and cook till fully done. Make more waffles in the same way.

Step 5

Place waffles on a serving platter and serve hot with green coconut chutney.
