Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Honey Garlic Chicken - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken cut into 1 inch pieces 400 grams

  • Honey 2-3 tablespoons

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Egg 1

  • Oil 1 tablespo to deep fry

  • Medium onion cubed and layers separated 1

  • Medium green capsicum diced 1

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • White sesame seeds roasted 1 tablespoon

  • Chicken stock 1 1/2 cups

  • Soy sauce 1 tablespoon

  • White pepper powder to taste

  • Cornflour slurry 1 tablespoon

  • Spring onion greens sliced for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Put chicken pieces in a bowl. Add cornflour, salt and egg and mix well.

Step 2

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep-fry chicken pieces till crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 3

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a non-stick wok. Add garlic, onion, capsicum, chilli flakes and sesame seeds, mix and sauté for a minute.

Step 4

Add ½ cup chicken stock and soy sauce, mix and cook for a minute. Add remaining chicken stock, pepper powder and salt, mix and simmer for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Add fried chicken pieces, cornflour slurry and honey, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 6

Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
