By Sanjeev Kapoor 03 Sep 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Split Bengal gram (chana dal), Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal) Cuisine Karnataka Course Powders Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Hulianna Masala-SK Khazana 1/4 cup Split Bengal gram (chana dal) 2 tablespoons Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal) 4 Green cardamoms 4-5 Cloves 1 inch Cinnamon broken 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 4-5 Dried red chillies Method Dry roast Bengal gram and black gram, one by one, till browned. Transfer into a bowl. In the same pan, dry roast cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds and roast for 2 minutes. Add dried red chillies and roast till fragrant. Transfer into the same bowl. Mix and let them cool down to room temperature. Transfer the mixture into a grinder jar and grind to a coarse powder.
