Ingredients list for Idli Fry-SK Khazana

  • 8-10 Idli cut into cubes
  • for dusting Cornflour
  • 1 tablespo to deep fry Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 2-3 Dried red chillies broken
  • 2 sprigs Curry leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 tablespoon Molagapodi
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Take idli cubes in a bowl, add some cornflour and mix.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai And deep-fry till light golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  4. Add red chillies, curry leaves, black gram, Bengal gram, asafoetida, molagapodi, some water and salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add fried idli pieces and toss well. Add some more water, mix and let it get heated through.
  6. Serve hot.
