Ingredients list for Instant Sevaiya Kheer

  • 1/2 cup Vermicelli (sevian) , coarsely crushed
  • 1 litre Milk
  • 12-14 + for garnish Almonds
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Condensed milk
  • a pinch Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Roughly chop almonds.
  2. Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add vermicelli and saute on high heat, stirring continuously, for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add almonds, mix and sauté for 30 seconds. Add 3 cups milk, mix, reduce heat, cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add condensed milk and mix well. Add salt and green cardamom powder, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Transfer into individual serving bowls, garnish each bowl with a almond and serve warm.
