Ingredients

    • 1 tbsp kahwa tea leaves
    • 8-9 green cardamoms
    • 1 cinnamon stick 
    • A large pinch of saffron + for garnish
    • 5-6 almonds, roughly chopped 
    • ¼ cup honey

    Method

    1. Crush the green cardamoms in a mortar pestle.
    2. Add 3 cups water to a deep nonstick pan. Add cardamoms, cinnamon and saffron and allow the water to come to a boil.
    3. Add the tea leaves, almonds and continue to boil for another minute.
    4. Add honey and mix well.
    5. Strain into kettle and pour into individual cups.
    6. Garnish with saffron strands and serve hot.
