And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Lasoon Batata Recipe

  • Baby potatoes boiled and peeled 500 grams

  • Dried red chillies seeded and soaked 10-12

  • Garlic 12 cloves

  • Salt to taste

  • Coconut oil 3 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Put red chillies and 10 garlic cloves in a mixer jar, add a little water and grind to a fine paste.

Step 2

Take potatoes in a large mixing bowl, add the ground paste and salt and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Heat coconut oil in a non-stick wok. Add potatoes and saute for 2-3 minutes. Cover and cook till moisture dries up and potatoes become dark red.

Step 4

Slice 2 garlic cloves.

Step 5

Transfer potatoes into a serving dish, garnish with sliced garlic and serve hot.
