By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Jan 2016 in Recipes Veg New Update Mangodi Cabbage Main Ingredients Mangodi (moong dal vadis), Cabbage Cuisine Marwari Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients 1/2 cup mangodi (moong dal vadis) 3/4 medium cabbage 1 tablespoon oil 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 8-10 curry leaves Salt to taste 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger 3 green chillies 1/2 teaspoon dried mango powder (amchur) 1/4 cup frozen green peas Method Roughly chop cabbage. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add asafoetida and mustard seeds and let the seeds splutter. Add curry leaves and sauté for ½ minute. Add mangodi, mix and sauté for 2 minutes. Add a few drops of water, cover and cook for 2 minutes. Add cabbage, salt, turmeric powder and ginger, cover and cook for 1 minute. Mix well, cover and cook for ½ minute. Slit green chillies and add. Mix, cover and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add dried mango powder and mix well. Add green peas, mix well, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
