By Sanjeev Kapoor 08 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Pomfrets, Salt Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Mase Kalvan 3 Pomfrets cut into darnes to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste Coconut oil 1 tablespoon + for drizzling 1 teaspoon Garlic chopped a pinch Asafoetida 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon Tamarind pulp 3/4 cup Coconut milk 2 Green chillies slit Method Take the fish darnes on a plate. Add salt, turmeric powder and ginger-garlic paste and rub well. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and asafoetida, mix well. Add chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well. Add ½ cup water and bring to a boil. Add fish, mix gently and cook on low heat for 1-2 minutes. Add tamarind pulp and mix well. Add coconut milk, mix and cook for a minute. Add green chillies and mix lightly. Serve hot.
