By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Dec 2021 in Recipes Veg New Update Matar Paneer Main Ingredients Green peas, Cottage cheese (paneer) Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1 cup green peas , blanched 250 grams cottage cheese (paneer) 2 medium onions 2 medium tomatoes 2 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon coriander powder 2 teaspoons cumin powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon garam masala pwoder Salt to taste Method Roughly chop onions and tomatoes, put into a mixer jar and grind to a fine puree. Cut the cottage cheese into medium cubes. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and sauté till their colour changes. Add ginger-garlic paste and onion-tomato puree, mix well and sauté on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt and mix well. Add ¾ cup water, mix, cover and cook on high heat for 4-5 minutes. Switch off the heat and open the lid when the pressure is completely released. Switch on the heat, add cottage cheese and green peas, mix well and cook for 30-40 seconds.
